AdBlue In Fuel Tank?
We'll get you back on the road.

AdBlue Filler
AdBlue is not a fuel additive and should never be poured into your vehicle's fuel tank—whether it's petrol or diesel. Instead, it must be added to its designated tank, which typically features a blue cap for easy identification.
If AdBlue is accidentally introduced into the fuel tank, it’s crucial to address the issue immediately to avoid severe engine damage. Removing AdBlue from the fuel system is a complex process that shouldn’t be attempted as a DIY fix. Our mobile service units can respond quickly to resolve the issue and help prevent costly repairs.
What Does AdBlue Do To My Engine?
AdBlue is a specialized fluid designed to reduce harmful nitrogen oxide emissions from your vehicle’s exhaust system. It works by cleaning exhaust fumes and is not a fuel additive.
Composed primarily of deionized water and urea, AdBlue can cause significant harm if introduced into the fuel system. The urea is corrosive to fuel lines and seals, and its tendency to crystallize can block injectors and fuel filters.

Crystalized Fuel Filter
Your car might go a short distance, depending on how much AdBlue has been put in. But as the contaminated fuel goes through the system it will do damage. It needs to be fully removed. There’s really no safe amount of Adlue in petrol or diesel. If you’re not sure, call our hotline for sensible advice.
We provide specialised tools to safely remove fuel from your tank, including any accidental AdBlue contamination. This process involves thoroughly cleaning your fuel lines, filters, pumps, and engine. The entire service—draining the tank, resetting, and restarting your vehicle—typically takes around 30 minutes.

We’ll refill your car with fresh fuel, ensuring you're ready to continue your journey. Once completed, your car will be in perfect working order. Our mobile mechanic will arrive promptly after you contact us.
